Tony Wild Exhibition

Posted on Posted in Artists, Exhibitions

Some time ago we wrote about the great atmosphere in the cafe area the day Tony Wild came in and shared a poem from ‘Dandelion’ by Arthur Berry. Well now Tony has his own work to share for the next 2 weeks when visitors and workshop regulars will have the privilege of being inspired by an exhibition of his paintings and collages. Tony is inspired to make work in response to the landscape where he experiments with mirrors to break up our perception of the view. These fragmented interpretations not only challenge our way of viewing the landscape, but provide Tony with the opportunity to experiment with  composition and colour.

Tony has now made several visits to Gainsborough [art]works and each time one or more of our artists have benefitted from his warm enthusiasm and willingness to share his wealth of knowledge and experience. We are excited about showcasing Tony’s landscapes and hope that more people will get to see that we have so many talented artists on our doorstep!
