Thank you to all those that made this fantastic opening night happen, to all the students and staff for their hard work that helped get the space ready for the event. To Robin Wight for officially opening the evening and to The Vegan Grindhouse for providing some amazing food.
“A FORMER Stafford shoe factory will host creations of a different kind when art students exhibit their work to the public next week. The Drawing Room will showcase the work of Foundation degree contemporary art practice, graphics and digital design and digital media production: photography students from Stafford College. The exhibition opens at Gainsborough Artworks, formerly Frederick H. Riley’s shoe factory in St Patrick’s Street, Stafford, on Friday, June 19 and runs until Wednesday, June 24. Opening hours each day are 10am to 4pm, except Sunday. Students have joined forces to curate the exhibition themselves and their work will be part of an arts trail around Stafford town centre, which also includes work from students across all levels of Stafford College’s creative courses” – Stafforshire Newsletter
“We especially want to take time aside to thank Gainsborough Artworks and its project manager, Dawn Jutton. Without whom, none of The Drawing Room would of been possible so we thank you for bringing our vision to life” – The Drawing Room Project
