Drawing Room exhibition draws closer

Foundation Degree art students from Stafford College have worked collectively to organise and curate this exhibition as part of their Final Major Project. It opens on Friday 19th June and runs until Wed 24th June, (excl. Sun) with opening hours 10am-4pm.

Big team effort the last two days as students from Stafford College Foundation Degree and Daisy the Lab joined us at Gainsborough [art]works to help complete the workshop and gallery space by scraping and scrubbing floors and walls before painting. After patiently listening to one of Dawn’s  ‘team’ chats the group were treated to a skip rat session to reclaim oddments of broken furniture, pipe connectors and assorted ephemera, watched with amusement by the builders who still have not got used to seeing their rubbish rescued. Watch out for these next week when the plan is to upcycle the oddments and revive their potential for functionality.

The Exhibition takes place in the downstairs Workshop & Gallery and upstairs in the Studio space from 19th June – 24th June and will be open 10am-4pm.  Some of the artists will be around to guide you through the exhibition and tell you about their work.

Please note that the Studio Gallery space is only accessible by 2 flights of stairs and may therefore not be accessible for some people.
The Workshop & Gallery Space is on the ground floor where you are welcome to join us for tea & coffee for a small donation.
